I believe that each couple is truly unique and their wedding invitations shouldn't be any different. Together we will make your invitation suite one-of-a-kind. From modern calligraphy, watercolor illustrations, and beautiful printing options, the possibilities are endless. From start to finish custom invitation design is truly a collaborative process. We'll start with a consultation call over a cup (or two) of coffee and chat about your vision for your suite. I'll then send you a customized mood board and we'll get started with bringing together what will become that special invite that arrives in your family and friends mailboxes. Ready to begin? Shoot me a message here and we'll start bringing your ideas to life.

I'm down to put my handwriting on anything. Whether that be hand addressed envelopes, place cards, custom signage, bridal party gifts, you name it and we can do it. Seriously though, have an idea that seems crazy? Just ask! I bet together, we can make it happen.

Often an overlooked part of the wedding planning process is the details that your guests will see on your wedding day. From finding their seats to the favors they leave with, I love to leave no detail forgotten. Handlettered seating charts, programs, custom menus, bar signs, end of the night favors - let's make the little details something your family and friends will always remember.

Frequently asked questions

how long does the process take for custom invitation design?

Great question! The entire process from consultation to completion takes about 9 weeks for custom invitation suite designs. We recommend starting the process about 6 months prior to when you would want to send your invitations out, as the process can take longer depending on the scope of the project.

so, uh, when's the best time to send my invitations out?

It is standard that couple's send their invitations out about 2-2.5 months before their wedding. That means your save the dates should go out around 6 months before. This gives your guests ample time to plan ahead and make sure they mark your big day on their calendar.

i've never done this before, what does the custom invitation process look like?

Hey, no worries! Let me walk you through an outline of what the process looks like. After your initial inquiry is received we'll schedule a consultation call where I can get a basic idea of your vision and inspiration. After that call I'll send you over a customized mood board for your suite, an initial proposal and agreement, and a project timeline.

what pieces are included in a custom invitation suite?

In order to hold your spot on my calendar, I require that all clients make a 20% deposit on the total cost of their project. This is due before the design process begins.

A custom invitation suite includes the design of one Invitation Card and one RSVP Card. Need to add details, accommodations cards, maps, or any other custom pieces? Let me know here and we'll get this worked into your customized quote.

do you require a deposit on your services?

do you have a starting price?

Since every project needs and wants are different, I try to shy away from giving a base price, because it is truly different for each couple. However, a basic suite can start around $8, per invitation and rsvp set.

can i have you design the invitation and take it elsewhere to print?

Due to the nature of the design and printing process, all Tara Marie Designs pieces will be handled through one of the qualified printers I work closely with. I want to ensure that your designs look their absolute best when printed, so leave this part to me and cross one more thing off your to-do list.

I'm interested in having hand addressed envelopes for my wedding invitations.
is this something you can do?

Absolutely! Hand addressed envelopes really round out your custom invitation suite. Make sure to mark this as something you are interested in during your initial inquiry and we'll get you pricing. Not into hand addressed envelopes? I can also print your guests addresses on each envelope for you for an extra charge.
